Abaddon

I had a dream, and in it I saw a world where the horizon called me towards it. This world was a great mystery, covered in lands lost to time, never ending in lore and intrigue, and always changing. As I saw the inhabitants of that world, the great and the meek, the good and the evil, I woke from my slumber, and wept, for that world was now gone.

Known history began being recorded on the first day of Ibdo, 1st year of the 1st Age. As you would expect, with the start of written record a scale of time would be needed and so records began at the start of the written calendar. The first scholar was said to have been the original author of the Calendar but this is debatable as some months take names from various gods which did not exist in his time.

Creation Myth

The oldest known text came from a man known as “The First Scholar“. It tells of a garden of creation in which a god slept and dreamt of existence as we know it, one in which the world that eventually became Abaddon sprang forth. The god woke but the land persisted in the garden, and the god then sacrificed itself in order for the world to flourish.
